-z- <br />the Police Department indicating that on both of those evenings <br />there were numerous spaces available in the parking lots for <br />these apartment buildings and that the cars parking along the <br />City streets by these buildings could be accommodated in the <br />vacant spaces contained within those parking lots. <br />In evaluating the situation, staff feels that there is sufficient <br />parking available to the dwellers of these apartment buildings <br />should they make use of the parking lot and garage spaces provided <br />by their landlords. Staff would request Council authorization <br />to contact these apartment building owners to inform them of the <br />complaints the City has been receiving from residents in the area <br />regarding the on street parking practices of their tenants and <br />request that they advise their tenant: that they are to begin <br />making use of the off street parking provided or the City will <br />be forced to place parking restrictions on all residential <br />streets adjacent to their buildings.
