f <br />C <br />V <br />K <br />MEMO TO: Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Clerk -Administrator <br />DATE: April 7, 1983 <br />SUBJECT: REVISED MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 107 - BINGO, RAFFLES, <br />AND GAMBLING DEVICES <br />Attached to this memorandum please find a copy of Chapter 107 of <br />the Municipal Code relating to the licensing of bingo, raffles, <br />and gambling devices showing all proposed modifications in order <br />to bring the Code into complete conformance with State statutes <br />relating to these items. These revisions were prepared at the <br />request of the City Council in order to bring the Code into <br />conformance with statutes prior to the licensing of any gambling <br />activities within the City of Mounds View. <br />The revisions were prepared with the assistance of a League of <br />Minnesota Cities draft ordinance relating to the licensing of <br />these activities, as well as Chapter 349 of Minnesota Statutes. <br />The proposed revised Chapter 107 has not been reviewed by the <br />City Attorney prior to the writing of this memo and any comments <br />he might make should be incorporated within these proposed revi- <br />sions. <br />Should you have any questions regarding this matter or require <br />any further information, please do not hesitate to advise me. <br />DFP/pf <br />Attachment <br />
