Remove all debris and leaves from turl area and removal from the wild <br />areas of all foreign materials, i.e. paper, refuse, etc. <br />3.2 Mowing - Mowing of turf area to be completed on a regular schedule <br />considering weather conditions to maintain a well -kept appearance. <br />a. Spot mowing, as required, during periods of uneven growth. <br />b. A cutting height of approximately 2 inches with normal moisture. <br />C. Mowing. Clippings will not be caught on a regular basis. Only if mowing <br />schedule is severely delayed due to weather or any other reason; then <br />excess clippings laying on the grass will be mechanically raked up and <br />disposed of. <br />d. Repair of any excessive scalping. <br />3.5 Trimming. <br />a. Trimming around buildings, backstops, players benches, planting, light <br />poles, and other obstructions to be completed on a weekly basis, as required, <br />to assure a well -kept appearance. Contractor to be responsible for any <br />excessive damage to trees, shrubs, structures and paint caused by trimming. <br />b. Once annually the weeds (tall growth) around the pond will be weedwhipped. <br />Hourly rate applies. <br />3.4 rertmZdtion <br />a. Fertilizer to be applied twice annually to turf areas prior to May 30th and <br />September 15th. <br />b. Turf analysis shall be done annually with a plan locating the following <br />items: <br />1. Areas needing crabgrass prevention <br />2. Areas needing fumacide <br />3. Areas needing dirt <br />4. Areas need special attention <br />Fertilizer quantities and costs to be provided to the City of Mounds View <br />for approval prior to purchase. <br />3.5 Week Control <br />a. Pre -emergent to be applied once in selected areas no later, than April 30, <br />1983, weather permitting. Material quantities and costs to be provided <br />to the City of Mounds View prior to purchase. <br />b. Broadleaf control to be applied to turf areas twice; nnrp prior to ra0--- ;vtii <br />and once around September 10th. Material quantities and costs to be pro- <br />vided to the City of Mounds View prior to purchase for formal approval. <br />c. Manual or chemical control of weeds in rock, shrub beds, and asphalt areas <br />to be completed to maintain a well -kept appearance. <br />
