-2-
3. Percentage Distribution of Service Resources by Land Use
2
R-1 Single Family - 20%
R-3 Townhouses
- 10%
R-4 Multi -Family
- 20%
Mobile Homes
- 20%
Commercial
- 15%
Industrial
- 10%
Vacant Land
- 5%
4. The Administration Department would most likely respond to
the four different types of development in the following
ways. In the areas of residential development, additional
workloads would be experienced in areas where records are
kept on an individual basis, e.g., election registration
and possibly in the general workload when responding to
inquiries, etc.
Purely industrial development would not place any foreseeable
additional workload as present industrial users have minimal
impact on this department.
Commercial development will, depending on type, cause for
additional workloads to be experienced because of the
licensing requirements of the City.
The Finance Department would experience an increase in
workload as a result of the following:
A. If public improvements were publicly financed, addi-
tional work would be necessary in maintaining financial
records for the bond sale, improvement project, and
debt service.
B. The Finance Department would experience an increase in
the number of water and sewer accounts, with the exact
number depending upon the type of development and method
of billing. Present practices of the City would result
in a larger number of accounts occurring in sinUle
family developments and reducing for other tyres f
development based on the number of buildings to be
Gervica' rather than the number of units.
A general observation can be made that any type of development
will most likely result in an increase in the level of service
being provided by these two departments, however, it is very
difficult to quantify exactly what the impact will be as a
large amount of our work relates to dealing with the public on
an irregular and unpredictable basis.
