X <br />--- Oversees and directs the effective enforcement and <br />w interpretation of all State or local building and �. <br />housing codes and ordinances as established or adopted <br />by the City. <br />--- Oversees and direCLS the inspection function in a manner <br />which will help facilitate good community relations and <br />understanding of the need for established codes and <br />ordinances. <br />--- Oversees and directs the interpretation and enforcement <br />Of the zoning code in a manucr which will ensure com- <br />pliance with policies established by the City. <br />Performs as staff liaison with the City Planning Commission and 2 <br />presents reports with related documentation and/or <br />recommendations relative to future planning and development <br />of the City. <br />--- Reviews proposed development applications, site plans, <br />and zoning issues for compliance with code requirements <br />and identifies what changes need to be made to ensure <br />compliance. <br />--- Prepares cost estimates for private development improve- <br />ments for use in determining the bonding amounts that <br />` will be required for development agreements. <br />--- Ilas prepared information packets and other related <br />materials prior to Planning Commission meetings and <br />ensures such information is distributed to all Commission <br />members in sufficient time for their review. <br />Is responsible for the calculation of assessment reapportion- 3 <br />ments based on established procedures to ensure an accurate <br />and equitable division and reapportioning of such assessments. <br />Prepares and submits a sound and documented budget and controls 4 <br />expenditures within approved budgetary limitations. <br />Provides professional engineering counsel to the Clerk-Adminis- 5 <br />trator and City Council on projects and programs as re- <br />quested with the objective of developing sound and inno- <br />vative programs, with alternatives, which can be shown <br />to meet the needs of the community most effectively. <br />--- Directs the <br />maintenance of appropriate engineering files, <br />records and <br />maps for ready reference when needed. <br />--- Establishes <br />design and maintenance standards for all <br />engineering <br />projects to assure the desired level of <br />performance <br />and utilization. <br />Drafts resolutions, <br />ordinances and ordinance revisions for the <br />consideration and action of the City Council. <br />
