�October 10, 1983 <br />Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />UN �"bPPROVED -Page Two <br />--------------------------------------------- ---- <br />Councilmembers Linke, Blanchard and Hankner voted <br />against the motion, stating that they felt the <br />minutes reflected the discussion and action that <br />took place. <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Hankner to approve the <br />October minutes as presented. <br />3 ayes 2 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor McCarty and Councilmember Doty voted against <br />the motion. Mayor McCarty stated he did not feel <br />the minutes completely reflected the events that <br />took place regarding the "no" vote by Councilmember <br />Hankner regarding Resolution No. 1659. <br />Mike Hollinger, 8701 NE Lincoln, Blaine, stated <br />5. Residents Re - <br />he is a firearms safety instructor for the Mounds <br />Quests and <br />Comments from <br />View Park and Rec Department. He explained what <br />the Floor <br />he teaches in class and asked for funds for the <br />instructors association to by supplies. He stated <br />that specifically they need a locking cabinet in <br />which to store their materials. He also explained <br />that the cost per person to take the class is $4, <br />while the cost to the State and DNR is $15, and <br />r� <br />that a lot of the expenses come out of the instruc- <br />tors pockets. He added that the material is badly <br />needed to assist in their teaching, and that the <br />instructors are all volunteers. <br />Mr. Hollinger stated he had approached a Staff <br />member, who explained that funds had been set <br />for 1984, and recommended he go straight to the <br />Council. <br />Mayor McCarty recommended Mr. Hollinger go back <br />to the Park and Rec Staff and have them identify <br />funds. <br />It was decided Mr. Hollinger would meet with <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley, who would then bring <br />in the appropriate Department Heads. <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Blanchard to add the 6. Approval of <br />additional licenses for approval, under Item G of Consent Agenda <br />the consent agenda. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Doty to approve the consent <br />agenda as presented, and waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />
