-2-
by Consulting Engineer John Johnson which under Item 5 of his 14,
memorandum addresses the issue of drainage for the entire district.
Mr. Johnson notes that although the developer provides more than
adequate drainage for his site as required by Chapter 49A of the
Municipal Code, the City should be aware of the long-term issues
such as storm water management for properties outside of the site.
As stated previously, staff feels there are essentially two options
before the City Council for dealing with this development proposal
at this time and they are:
1. Schedule and conduct the public hearings at your Regular
Meeting on March 26th for the major subdivision, Conditional
Use Permits, and street vacation and, if necessary, table
action on those items at the March 26th meeting should the
issue of storm water management not be resolved; or
2. Table any further action on this item with direction to staff
that further evaluation of district -wide storm water drainage
issues be conducted.
Your direction on this matter is requested.
DFP/pf
Attachments
