MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCI <br />FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRATO <br />DATE: MARCH 14, 1985 <br />SUBJECT: NORTH SUBURBAN CABLE COMMISSION REQUEST FOR 1985 <br />BUDGET CONTRIBUTIONS <br />Attached please find a memorandum from North Suburban Cable <br />Commission Chairperson Steve Schmidt and Legal Counsel Tom <br />Creighton outlining a request from the North Suburban Cable <br />Commission for a contribution from the City of Mounds View <br />in the amount of $13,941.90 to fund a portion of the <br />Commission's 1985 operations until such time as the <br />Franchise Amendment Agreement No. 1 is entered into by all <br />cities and the $150,000 indemnification from Group W Cable <br />is paid to the Commission. At that time the contribution <br />being requested would be repaid to the City of Mounds View <br />in full. <br />Should you have any requests on this item, please contact <br />me. <br />RECOMMENDATION: NDATION: Staff would recommend Council authorization <br />of an advance to the North Suburban Cable Commission in the <br />amount of $13,941.90 per their memorandum dated March 8, <br />1985. <br />DFP/v: j s <br />Attachment: <br />
