6.01 <br />CHAPTER 6 <br />PERSONNEL <br />6.01. PURPOSE. It shall be the purpose of this chapter <br />to establish a uniform and equitable system of personnel adminis- <br />tration to employees of the Municipality. <br />6.02. SCOPE OF CHAPTER. This chapter shall establish the <br />employment relationship of all municipal empioyees eacvpL Li:e <br />following: <br />(1) All elected officials and members of boards and <br />commissions. <br />(2) Employees of the volunteer fire department. <br />(3) The Clerk -Administrator, mwmte*pa3-engineerr <br />municipal attorney, and health officer. <br />(4) Temporary employees hired by the day or week to per- <br />form unskilled �r semi -skilled work. <br />(5) Consultants and others rendering temporary and pro- <br />fessional services. <br />(6) volunteer personnel and personnel appointed to serve <br />without pay. <br />(7) The provisions iu: these policies and procedures shall <br />apply to all personnel who are reyulateo by other local, state, <br />or federal regulations or who work under negotiated agreements <br />witn the City. In the event of a conflict between t!.e terms of <br />these regulations or negotiated agreements and thin arJinance, <br />thq terms of the regulations or negotiated agreements will take <br />precede.ice and those employees subject to the regulations or <br />agreements snall oe so egulated. <br />6.03. APPIICAT10N TO POLICEMEN. This chapter shall not <br />be applicable to policemen or officers of the Municipai Police <br />Department. <br />6.U4. DEFINITIONS. <br />11) "Regular full-time employee' means one who has suc- <br />cessfully completed the required probationary period and who is <br />employed on a schedule of at least 40 hours per week. <br />(2) 'Regular part-time employee" means one who has suc- <br />cessfully completed the required probationary period and is <br />employed on a schedule of more than 20 hours and less than 4U <br />hours per week. <br />
