-3- <br />LAKE REGION HOCKEY <br />UPDATE Staff indicated that he had met with Leonard <br />Krumm, a representative from Lake Region <br />Hockey, who indicated that Lake Region Hockey <br />would be very supportive of constructing some <br />type of an natural ice arena. Although he <br />was not able to speak formally to the board, <br />he felt that they would be interested .n <br />buying as many hours as available for their <br />in houLe as well as traveling hockey league <br />programs. Mr. Krumm further indicated that <br />Lake Region was currently developing a feas- <br />ihility study for the construction of an ice <br />arena within the school district, and indi- <br />cated that they felt a strong need for to <br />construct an artificial arena within the <br />school district. <br />NEXT MEETING DATE The next meeting date was established for <br />Thursday, December 5, 1985 at 7:00 p.m. at <br />which time the City Council and Park and Rec- <br />reation Commission would be invited to attend <br />an open discussion. It should be noted that <br />it was the general consensus of the group at <br />this time that a park referendum appeared to <br />be the only alternative to fund the existing <br />park deficiencies.
