-14 <br />(2) The total monthly bid price of the contract <br />shall be reviewed annually at least 90 days <br />prior to the anniversary date by each party. <br />The amount to be paid in the subsequent year <br />shall be derived from the existing bid price <br />and applying: <br />(a) Increase (decrease) as of September for <br />the last twelve (12) month period as <br />reported by the published Minneapolis - <br />St. Paul Consumer Price Index, for Urban <br />Consumers, all items. <br />(b) Increase (decrease) in the most recent <br />twelve (12) month period of taxes levied <br />by State, County, or City government for <br />refuse disposal. <br />(3) The City reserves the r_ght to have a qualified <br />third party evaluate the Contractor's operating <br />cost records and issue an opinion relative to <br />the justification for cost increases. <br />(4) The negotiation of adjustments to the total <br />monthly bid price shall be scheduled and <br />completed sixty (60) days prior to the <br />anniversary date. <br />(5) If either party refuses said adjustment, the <br />contract shall terminate on the annual <br />nnniver.,ary date. <br />(6) Adjustments to the total monthly biG price will <br />be effective on the nexL following a:in versary <br />date. <br />n) Poi,it of Collection <br />Collection is currently permitted at the house <br />although many residents place all of their items at <br />the curb. The current service is as follows: <br />Household Garbage: An unlimited number of cans or <br />bags will be picked up if placed <br />at the front corner of the house <br />or garage. <br />Other: Boxes or bags from garage or <br />basement cleanup, old clothes, <br />toys, small furniture , small <br />appliances, old paint cans, etc. <br />will be picked up on the same <br />day as the regular garbage if <br />placed at the curb. <br />
