-15- <br />The bid proposal form asks for alternative bids <br />005k, for house pickup, i.e., continudtiuo of the present <br />service, and all curb pickup. Based upon the bids, <br />the City Council will evaluate the service levels <br />and award the bid based upon the City Council's <br />desired service level. <br />For curb pickup, the Contractor will provide pickup <br />at the house for up to twenty (20) residents due to <br />a physical disability of the occupant at no <br />additional charge to the City; over 20, the <br />additional cost per residence should be noted on the <br />quotation form. <br />(o) General Cleanup <br />General clean-up of all types of items to include <br />furniture, appliances, etc., shall be conducted <br />twice per year during the second full week of May <br />and the fourth full week of September. <br />(p) Recycling Station <br />(1) the City wishes to establish a recycling <br />program in an area to be secured but accessible <br />to the general public during specified hours <br />each week. Supervision for the site shall be <br />by a local civic organization which is mutually <br />acceptable to the City and Contractor; or if a <br />suitable local civic organization is not <br />identified the site shall be supervised by the <br />Contractor. Site supervisors shall have the <br />responsibility t,) verify the residence of <br />the persons using the roll -off boxes and <br />containers wnich are beinq placed in the area <br />by the contractor. <br />(2) It shall be the res,)onsibiiity of the City to <br />provide a secured area at least 60 feet by 70 <br />feet. The Contractor shall construct the <br />necessary security fencing, gate, and permanent <br />dock/stairs allowing access to the containers. <br />(3) It shall be the responsibility of the <br />Contractor to furnish at least three (3) roll - <br />off containers of approximately 30 cubic yards <br />each for the collection of glass, newspapers, <br />meta. and appliances. The Contractor shall <br />also furnish two 1-yard containers for aluminum <br />cans and shall furnish one 2-yard container for <br />non -recyclable materiel^.. All containers shall <br />be properly designated and signed by the <br />Contractor as to the purpose of each such <br />container and as to the restrictions as to the <br />kinds of items to be placed in each. <br />
