-16- <br />(4) The Contractor and the desionated local civic <br />organization shall keep the yard open and ' <br />staffed for collection of recyclable materials <br />on such days and times mutually agreeable to <br />the City, Contractor and designated civic <br />organization. Said days and times of operation <br />shall be renegotiated to establish more <br />reasonable hours of collection based on <br />experience gained after operating the station <br />for a period of time. <br />(5) The City and Contractor shall share equally in <br />the cost of any promotional programs for the <br />statior. No program or expenditure to promote <br />the station shall be made without the express <br />approval of the City and Contractor. <br />(6) As previously stated; the Contractor shall <br />furnish separate containers for the collection <br />of newspapers, cardboard, glass bottles, with <br />all metal removed, aluminum cans, appliances, <br />and non -aluminum metal. A depository for used <br />motor oil shall be furnished by the City. <br />Contractor shall collect and replace containers <br />as they reach full capacity. Contractor shall <br />collect all non -recyclable items on a scheduled <br />pickup to be determined by need between the ' <br />Contractor and the City. <br />(7) Contractor shall issue notices to all <br />homeowners and users of the service whenever <br />recyclable items are placed at the curb. <br />(a) The notice shall be signao by an employee <br />of the Contractor and shall be given to a <br />homeowner if the nomeowner is present at <br />the residence. if the homeowner is not <br />present at the residence, the notice shall <br />be placed on the dwelling at a conspicuous <br />place and shall indicate where the <br />recyclable item may be taken and indicate <br />the City telephone number. <br />(8) Any civic organization which operates the <br />recycling station must provide insurance <br />coverage for its members and public liability <br />insuranre in amount_= and .n a form satisfactoty <br />to the City. <br />(9) Contractor shall determine, subject to the <br />approval of the City, where all recyclable <br />materials will be taken. While rates vary at <br />different recyclable material handling centers, ' <br />handling costs must oe considered as genuinely <br />
