_1_ <br />2. Contractor's Service and Responsibilities <br />2,1 The Contractor shall collecta all rby the <br />materials in the City, according to <br />Contractor and approved by the City. <br />2,2 The Contractor shall not be required to make <br />regular collections on Saturday or Sunday and New Years Day, <br />w emoriAl Day, indeoendence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day <br />and Christmas Day. <br />2.3 Collection may be delayed jr. the case of severe <br />weather conditions as defined by the National Weather <br />Service. <br />2.4 The Contractor shall provide to the City a yearly <br />collection schedule for all residential properties in the <br />City by November of each year. This schedule shall include <br />the date of collection for each month (a reoccuring schedule <br />is preferred) and any variances to the schedule due to <br />holidays. This schedule shall also include the procedures <br />which would be followed in the case of a cancellation due to <br />severe weather conditions. The schedule for 1986 will be . <br />annotated on the calendar provided. <br />3. Contractor's Equipment <br />3.1 All vehicles shall be painted and/or marked <br />uniformly with the Contrac,or's name and phone number on <br />both sides of the vehicle. <br />3.2 All vehicles shall Da radio dispatched. <br />3.3 Broom and shovel to good usable condition ,hall be <br />placed and maintained on each vehicle for necessary cleanino <br />up at the pick up site or street or boulevard, as necessary. <br />3.1 The Contractor shall make all collections of <br />recyclable materials in appropriate receptacles. These <br />receptacles shall be kept clean and as free from all <br />offensive odors as possible. <br />3.5 The Contractor's vehicle shall not be allowed to <br />stand in any street, alley or other place longer than is <br />reasonably necessary to collect recyclable materials. <br />3.6 The Contractor shall keep all equipment used in <br />the performance of work in good operating condition and in a <br />clean sanitary condition. Equipment is subject to periodic • <br />inspection by the City. <br />
