-I- <br />4. Contractor's Operations <br />4.1 The Contractor should have at least one year of <br />experience in the business of curbside recycling collection <br />and marketing. <br />4.2 The Contractor, prior to the award of the contract, <br />if requested by the City, will be required to show evidence <br />of prior work during the past 36 months. <br />4.3 The Contractor shall establish and maintain an <br />office for accepting complaints and customer cal:s. the <br />office shall be in service during the hours of 8:00 a.m. <br />until 5:00 p.m. on all days of collection as specified in <br />this contract. Any changes in the address and telephone <br />number of such office as identified on the bid sheet shall <br />be given to the City in writing. <br />4.4 Complaints on service will be answered by the <br />Contractor courteously and promptly. The City will notify <br />the Contractor of all complaints it receives. The <br />Contractor is responsible for all such complaints and action <br />taken thereon shall be kept by the Contractor and reported <br />monthly on the Official Complaint Form attached as Exhibit 1 <br />to :he City and specifically to the Clerk —Administrator. <br />4.5 Whenever the City or a resident notifies the <br />Contractor of locations which have not received scheduled <br />service, the Contractor is required to service such <br />locations in the same day when noeified prior to noon o' the <br />scheduled date. <br />5. Public Awareness <br />5.1 The City shall: <br />a.) Provide the Neighborhood Block <br />Captain with recycling reminder signs. <br />b.) Support the program via newspaper <br />articles, billboard announcements, <br />City newsletter, Cable T.V. and <br />contact with local community groups. <br />c.) Develop and deliver the initial flyer <br />to be sent to all residential <br />properties on or about May 1, 1986. <br />d.) Place an initial notice about the <br />program in the Community Section of <br />the Minneapolis Star 6 Tribune, the <br />Neighborhood Section of the St. Paul <br />Dispatch and Pioneer Press and the New <br />Brighton Bulletin. <br />
