He is responsible for design and <br />construction documents and specifications, coordination with other design professionals <br />and presentations to various groups and organizations. Recent projects include <br />comprehensive downtown redevelopment in Iowa City, IA; site development and <br />recreation concepts for a factory rehabilitation project in Sioux City, IA; and various <br />residential developments in Minnesota and Iowa. <br />Prior to joining RCM, Mr. Popelka was with private consulting firms in Iowa and central <br />Florida, where he was responsible for environmental analysis, planning and design of <br />resort communities, large scale recreation development, planned residential communities <br />and downtown redevelopment studies. ;l i <br />Early tip his professiuiiw career, Mr. Popelka served on a multi -disciplinary team at the <br />Minnestota Department of Transportation involved with state-wide highway corridor <br />studies, environmental impact studies, and various park and recreation studies. <br />
