Motion/Second: Blanchard/Quick to send a letter of commendation to Senator Novak, Representative Knuth, Representative Vento, Senator Durenburger and Commissioner McCarty, thanking them for their assis- tance. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion/Second: Quick/Hankner to approve the July 28, 1996 minutes as presented. 5 ayes 0 nays Mayor Linke explained that Resolution No. 2028 had been rescinded on July 28, 1986, and the Council at that time had asked Staff and the City Attorney to prepare a resolution calling for the complete removal of the Williams Pipeline from the City, and he read proposed Resolution No. 2061. Motion/Second: Hankner/Blanchard to approve Resolution No. 2061, requesting the removal of the Williams Pipeline from the City of Mounds View. 5 ayes 0 nays Clerk/Administrator Pauley statdd he had received a call from a representative of the development firm, and they have requested the public_ hearing be. cancelled at this time, due to continuing negotia- tions on the property, and they wouid like to reschedule it later on, at their request.
