— East Metropolitan Joint Venture Proposal --- <br />Staff <br />Initial staffing would be provided by the Saint Paul Area <br />Chamber of Commerce, Including Its manager of economic <br />development, who would serve as the primary staff person <br />coordinating the market planning and execution. In addition, <br />the current economic development secretary/Information <br />specialist would support these activities. <br />The Informal East Metro planners group has offered to provide <br />some technical and Information support to this effort. In <br />addition, the staffs of the other partner chambers would supply <br />as much assistance as possible. <br />Anticipating the Increase In workload that this activity would <br />create, It will likely be necessary to Increase staff, either by <br />a loaned executive, or by hiring through the promotion fund. <br />The positions that need to be filled. In order of Importance <br />are: <br />Economic Development Assistant — supplements and supports <br />the activities of the existing manager. Primarily <br />responsible for handling prospects In all stapes of the <br />selling cycle. r <br />Secretary — for all of the above Individuals.
