LONG TERM FINANCIAL PLAN <br />Page Three <br />(01 administrative services, including election <br />judges, necessary for the legal and efficient <br />conduct of elections. <br />It is not anticipated that basic election <br />services will change over the next five years <br />except when special elections are held, which <br />cannot be anticipated, or the State or Federal <br />Governments modify the rules and regulations for <br />the conduct of elections in such a way that <br />increased expenditures are required. <br />4) C Hall - The city Hall Division of the <br />Administration Department provides for the <br />maintenance and operation of the City Hall <br />building and office equipment, personnel <br />services, costs of the receptionist, office <br />supplies, postage and liability and automobile <br />insurance premiums. <br />Capital expenditures are proposed to refurbish <br />the front counter, paint and recarpet the <br />Administrative Office Area, and install <br />additional storage cabinets. As this building <br />continues to age other expenditures will be <br />necessary to provide an adequate level of <br />maintenance. Also proposed are expenditures <br />for the peformance of a space needs and useage <br />study of City Hall. This study would evaluate <br />the currently crowded office, storage and meeting <br />areas and develop recommendations for the <br />remodeling or expansion of City Hall. The study <br />will consider the recommendation of the 1989 <br />Customer Relations Task Force report which <br />recommended the construction of two waiting areas <br />in the lobby of City Hall. <br />other capital expenditures include the purchase <br />two personal computers and a laser jet printer to <br />replace aging word processing stations and a <br />personal computer for the receptionist's work <br />station. <br />5) Legal Fire - Legal and fire protection <br />services are provided by contracting individuals <br />or agencies, with the level of service and the <br />expense of such service to the City being <br />determined by them. As a result of a number of <br />law as it relates to DWI <br />recent changes in state <br />arrests and who, the City or County, is <br />responsible for prosecuting non -criminal cases, <br />the City's legal service costs will be increasing <br />and will be an unpredictable factor in the <br />budgeting process. <br />
