MEHORANDUM <br />Hemo To : Kim Herman, City Planner <br />From : R. A. Minetor, City Engineer <br />Date : July 15, 1988 <br />Subject : Proposed Amoco Car Wash <br />I have reviewed the proposed site plan for this dovelopment. As <br />we discussed, the city code requires a vehicle stacking area to <br />accommodate 6 vehicles. Tho current layout does not appear to <br />meet this criteria. Additionally, the necessary maneuvering is <br />insufficient for cars attempting to enter the wash bay from the <br />Closest pumps.. Because of the internal circulation problem and <br />the 'stacking' requirement, this proposal does not appear to meet <br />the intent of our code. <br />My major concern is the likelihood of vehicle 'stacking' across <br />the entrance from Clifton. The internal circulation needs to be <br />considered and measures taken to remedy the conflict between <br />vehicles using the western pumps and the vehicles 'stacking' for <br />the car wash. <br />If the applicant wishes, he may re -submit this proposal with an <br />internal circulation plan and 'stacking' area which is consistent <br />with the code. <br />A <br />
