MEMORANDUM <br />Memo To :Don Pauley, Clerk -Administrator <br />From :Ric Minetor, City Engineer/Director of Public Works <br />Date :October 17, 1989 <br />f_ <br />Subject :Lead Worker Job Duties <br />The proposed lead worker position would not have supervisory <br />responsibilities other than coordination of work and the <br />responsibility of quality assurance. To achieve these two goals <br />certain objectives would be established as guidelines for the <br />lead worker. The following proposed job duties would be the <br />guidelines used to achieve the coordination and quality assurance <br />for which this position was proposed. <br />A) Review the work expected, job assignments, and special <br />conditions with the Public Works Foreman. <br />B) Insure there are enough people on the crew, that all <br />necessary equipment and materials are at the job site or <br />being delivered, and that all equipment to be utilized is in <br />good working condition. 7 <br />C) Insure that all crew members are aware of their assignments. <br />D) Insure that all safety regulations are being observed; OSHA <br />regulations, traffic control regulations, and equipment <br />conditions. <br />E) Documentation on the work order of the labor, equipment, and <br />material utilized on the job. <br />F) Job site review at break times, end of the day, and <br />completion of work to insure compliance with all appropriate <br />safety regulations. <br />G) Job site review at completion of the work to insure quality <br />of work and denote any additional needs in the immediate <br />area. <br />H) Report to the Foreman at the end of each day to review the <br />needs of on -going work, the usage of materials, any needed <br />equipment repairs, and any further work in the area or in <br />the future related to the work assignment. <br />9 <br />
