qq MEMO TO: MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS <br />►.,7 FROM: MARY SAARION <br />DATE: FEBRUARY 26, 1988 <br />RE: SILVER VIEW POND PATHWAY <br />A petition was received by the Mounds View Parks, Recreation and <br />Forestry Department on February 25, 1988. This petition addresses <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council regarding <br />interest in completing construction of the Silver View Park pond <br />pathway. <br />Staff wishes to reintroduce this issue. As you may recall, the last <br />meeting was held on November 17 with City Forester Wriskey <br />S <br />discussing plans for early summer plantings along the park property <br />behind the homes of residents abutting Silver Vie% dark pond. <br />f A letter is attached from Dan Boxrud, offering his opinion on <br />potential water -run-off concerns regarding the construction of a. <br />path. <br />if the patb,.ay is to be completed, it should probably be construct- <br />ed at the same time when plantings are planted. <br />Staff requests City Council direction regarding this matter. <br />MS/sl <br />
