RESOLUTION NO. 2344 <br />CITY OF ,,OUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY FOR THE <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />WHEREAS, the sexual harassment of any employee of the <br />City of Mounds View by any otter employee or non -employes is <br />demeaning to both the victim of the harassment and to the <br />City; and <br />WHEREAS, sexual harassment is in violation of Title <br />VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1974 and in some cases the <br />victim's Constitutional Right; and <br />WHEREAS it is the desire of the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View to clearly state that it will not <br />tolerate the sexual harassment of any of its employees and <br />will tai:e immediate and positive steps to stop it when it <br />occurs; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the further desire of the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View to establish a policy outlining <br />the methods in which complaints regarding sexual harassment <br />by employees or non -employees towards any of its employees <br />will be handled. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View that the attached Sexual <br />Harassment Policy of the City of Mounds View is approved and <br />becomes an official policy of the City to be enforced <br />pursuant to the guidelines of the policy. <br />Adopted this day of , 1908. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mayor <br />(SEAL) _ 0 <br />Clerk -Administrator <br />
