City Council Staff Report
2/23/2026 – Future Land Use Amendment, Rezoning, and Preliminary Plat
7687 Long Lake Road
Page 10

The Mounds View Vision
A Thriving Desirable Community
o The proposed plat will need to dedicate an additional seven (7) feet of ROW to
County Road I (the north lot line of proposed Lot 1) in order for the ROW to conform
with the Ramsey County Major Street Plan.
o Maintenance of the turf boulevard along Long Lake Road, and/or any landscaping
amenities will be the responsibility of the development as the abutting property
owner to the county's ROW.
 When the sidewalk needs to be fully replaced, Ramsey County would
perform full sidewalk replacements together with any planned roadway
improvement project(s) to minimize the need for mobilization.
o Two permits from the county are required:
 A permit will be required for installation of the proposed new sidewalk. A
review for ADA compliance will be done prior to permit issuance.
 A permit will be required for the proposed sanitary connection.
• Rice Creek Watershed District
o No comments have been received at the time of drafting this report.
• Minnesota Department of Transportation
o No comments have been received at the time of drafting this report.
Figure 7: Excerpt of the proposed preliminary plat.
