On April 23, 2026, there will be a joint City Council and Parks , Recreation and Forestry <br />Commission meeting, and recommendations will be provided for funding the Parks System <br />Master Plan. <br />Community Survey: <br />Currently, Council is reviewing survey questions for the proposed Community Survey to gauge <br />the level of community support for various funding options. <br />In addition to this survey Staff is recommending the City also conduct a Park System Master <br />Plan educational campaign. This campaign would focus on informing the property owners with <br />Park history's, past funding information, and options for funding of the Park System Master <br />Plan. <br />Education, Communications, and Marketing: <br />• Staff is proposing that the Council hire WSB or RAPP to assist with this educational <br />campaign, and to also hire a part-time Marketing Intern. (The education component will <br />also include the Community Center remodel.) <br />• Architectural services will also be required to provide rough concepts plans and cost <br />estimates for a Community Center remodel which was not included in the adopted Parks <br />System Master Plan. <br />Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Maintain and Plan for Infrastructure Improvements. <br />Financial Impact: Financial Impact the 2026 Budget is Unknow. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff will be at the April Work Session held on March 30 to discuss. <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />4 Thrii•ing Desirable Community
