Mounds View City Council March 23, 2026 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />addressed by the contractor. Staff reviewed the final payout information and recommended <br />approval. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10228, <br />Approval of Final Payment and Project Close Out for the 2025 Silver View Pond Improvement. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Clark stated she would be attending a Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br />Commission meeting on Thursday, March 25. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith reported on Saturday, March 21 she toured the Harriet Tubman East <br />location, along with the pet center. She discussed the services provided by the Tubman Center and <br />thanked all the residents who donated pet food to the new pet center. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith explained the Festival in the Park would be holding the 2nd Annual Easter <br />Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. She noted the Festival in the Park Car Show would <br />be held at Turbo Tim’s on Saturday, May 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated the convention bureau held its annual meeting met last week. <br />He noted Coon Rapids Mayor Jerry Koch was elected chair of this board and Parks and Recreation <br />Director Jennifer Fink from New Brighton would serve as the vice chair. He indicated Chris <br />Mickman from Ham Lake would serve as the secretary and he was asked to continue as the board <br />treasurer. He provided further information on the financials for this group and reported Mounds <br />View would be receiving $8,100 this year. He explained this group would meet next in Mounds <br />View at the Community Center and he invited all Councilmembers to attend this meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he and City Administrator Zikmund attended the North Metro <br />Mayors Day at the Capitol last week where they had the opportunity to meet with Senator Marty <br />and Representative Moller. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked all who the supported Lions corn beef and cabbage dinner <br />at the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at the Community Center. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported the last Godfather’s Pizza in the metro area in Brooklyn <br />Park closed last weekend. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated she and Council Member Meehlhause attended the Business <br />Connect meeting in New Brighton last week. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom explained that he and the City Administrator had a meeting with County <br />Commissioner Jebens-Singh last Monday. <br />
