As noted previously, a final plat <br /> can go directly to the City Council for approval or denial. Staff would note that the applicant's <br /> final plat is consistent with the preliminary plat, and therefore meets the requirements of Section <br /> 158.026. <br /> Comments <br /> No other comments were received from other city staff regarding this request. The Planning <br /> Commission reviewed the request and held a public hearing on this request at their meeting on <br /> April 15'. The Commission recommended approval of the preliminary plat, with findings and <br /> conditions of approval. <br /> Review Period <br /> The application was deemed complete on March 26, 2026. The 120-day deadline for final action <br /> by the City Council is set to end on July 23, 2026. <br /> Options <br /> The City Council has the following options with each request: <br /> 1. Approve the request, with findings and with or without conditions. <br /> a. Resolutions of approval for both the preliminary plat and final plat are included in <br /> the meeting packet. <br /> 2. Deny the request, with findings for denial. <br /> 3. Table the request for further review/study. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Preliminary Plat <br /> The Planning Commission recommended approval of the preliminary plat request to adjust the lot <br /> line between 8408 Eastwood Road and 8428 Eastwood Road, as shown on the preliminary plat <br /> of Jahnke Acres prepared by EG Rud & Sons, Inc. dated 3/23/2026, with the following findings of <br /> fact and conditions of approval: <br /> 1) 8408 Eastwood Road (Parcel ID 063023110005) is currently owned by Bradley D <br /> Jahnke, and 8428 Eastwood Road (Parcel ID 063023110008) is currently owned by <br /> Lazona C Jahnke Trust. <br /> 2) The applicant, Bradley D Jahnke, proposes to adjust the lot line between the two <br /> parcels, as shown on the proposed preliminary plat called Jahnke Acres. <br /> 3) Based on the Mounds View 2040 Comprehensive Plan, the site is guided as `Single- <br /> Family Detached'. The proposed changes keep the sites residential and would be <br /> consistent with the site's designation in the comprehensive plan. <br /> 4) Both parcels will comply with the R-1 zoning standards post lot line adjustment. <br /> 5) The proposed preliminary plat meets the requirements of Section 158 of city code. <br /> The Mounds View Vision <br /> A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
