He questioned if the <br /> 4 number of incidents with school buses was down from last year. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Rebecca Scholl, 2467 Hillview Road, discussed the public utilities and energy bills. She reported <br /> 7 for those residents that are in need,there was assistance available from the public utility providers. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 City Administrator Zikmund noted CEE completes home energy audits for residents. He <br /> 10 encouraged Ms. Harness to reach out to the City for further information on these audits. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> 13 A. Resolution 10251, Approving the Final Plat and Wetland Buffer Permit for a <br /> 14 Subdivision of 7687 Long Lake Road. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Evan Monson, Stantec, requested the Council approve the final plat and wetland buffer permit for <br /> 17 a subdivision at 7687 Long Lake Road. He discussed the process that has been followed and noted <br /> 18 the applicant was proposing to construct Suite Living Mounds Views which would consist of 32 <br /> 19 senior living suites. He commented further on the proposed request and recommended approval <br /> 20 with conditions. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Smith. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10251, <br /> 23 Approving the Final Plat and Wetland Buffer Permit for a Subdivision of 7687 Long Lake Road. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Ayes—5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 B. Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 1064, Amending the Zoning <br /> 28 Ordinance Regarding Height of Attached Accessory Structures. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Evan Monson, Stantec,requested the Council introduce an ordinance that would amend the zoning <br /> 31 ordinance regarding height of attached accessory structures. He commented on the discussion that <br /> 32 was held at the Planning Commission meeting, reviewed the proposed language within the <br /> 33 ordinance and noted the Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed ordinance. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Council Member Gunn asked how the proposed room above the garage would be accessed. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Heidi Schroder, 8150 Eastwood Road, explained the space would be accessed through the garage. <br /> 38 She indicated the space would be used by the family as a bonus room. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Council Member Meehlhause requested further comment on why the applicant was requesting an <br /> 41 ordinance amendment versus a variance. Mr. Monson reported that variance requests were <br /> 42 reviewed by the Planning Commission and were not guaranteed to be approved. He stated the <br /> 43 ordinance amendment would allow for the height of the proposed accessory structure to move <br /> 44 forward without requiring a variance. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 MOTION/SECOND: Clark/Meehlhause.
