The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 10267 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE AN INTERNAL RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR SERGEANT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department had a Sergeant apply and receive an offer for <br />the Police Officer Investigator assignment, leaving a Sergeant position vacant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff, supported by the HR Committee, request a five-day internal <br />recruitment process for the Union, Non-Exempt Police Sergeant position. If the internal <br />process is unsuccessful, an open recruitment process for the position would immediately <br />follow: <br /> <br />2026 - Sergeant <br />Step 1 <br />80% <br />Start <br />Step 2 <br />85% <br />6 months <br />Step 3 <br />90% <br />12 months <br />Step 4 <br />95% <br />24 months <br />Step 5 <br />100% <br />36 months <br />$51.18 $54.37 $57.57 $60.77 $63.97 <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes Staff to complete the following: <br />• Complete an internal recruitment process for the position of Police Sergeant <br />• If the internal process is unsuccessful, proceed with an open recruitment process <br />for the Sergeant position <br /> <br />Adopted this 22nd day of June 2026. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />
