Mounds View City Council June 6, 2026 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained the SWPPP presentation was an 1 <br />annual requirement from the Pollution Control Agency. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Sharon Kirscher, 8406 Red Oak Drive, thanked staff for the detailed presentation on the SWPPP. 4 <br />She questioned how often the City looks at manholes on private property. Public Works/Parks and 5 <br />Recreation Director Peterson explained these were not inspected often. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Ms. Kirscher inquired if the City was able to separate the salt and sand that was collected by the 8 <br />street sweepers. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported the leaves 9 <br />collected were brought to the yard waste and the solid waste was brought to a landfill. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Council Member Clark thanked the City for organizing park clean up events in April. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Mayor Lindstrom thanked Stormwater Technician Maki for her dedicated service to the City. He 14 <br />asked if the Edgewood Pond was owned by the Met Council. Stormwater Technician Maki 15 <br />explained this pond was owned by the City. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the restoration of Spring Lake, and it was noted the DNR 18 <br />would not be dredging this lake. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council Member Gunn was pleased the students at Edgewood would be assisting in the restoration 21 <br />work of the Edgewood Stormwater Pond. 22 <br /> 23 <br />7. PUBLIC COMMENT 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Lindstrom encouraged the public to speak with kindness and respect when addressing the 26 <br />City Council during Public Comment. There were no comments from the public. 27 <br /> 28 <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS 29 <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING: Resolution 10257, Authorizing the Issuance, Sale and 30 <br />Delivery of Its Multifamily Housing Revenue Obligations for the Silver Lake 31 <br />Pointe Apartment Project. 32 <br /> 33 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council authorize the issuance, sale and delivery of its 34 <br />multifamily housing revenue obligation bonds for the Silver Lake Pointe Apartment Project. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. 39 <br /> 40 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Smith. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10257, 41 <br />Authorizing the Issuance, Sale and Delivery of Its Multifamily Housing Revenue Obligations for 42 <br />the Silver Lake Pointe Apartment Project. 43 <br /> 44 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 45 <br /> 46
