Reports of Mayor and Council. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Council Member Gunn stated the Mounds View Police Foundation would meet next on Tuesday, 4 <br />June 9 at 5:30 p.m. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Council Member Gunn explained the Mounds View Business Council would be meeting next on 7 <br />Thursday, June 18. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Gunn reported there would be a Juneteenth Celebration at City Hall on Friday, 10 <br />June 19. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated on Monday he would be attending a conference call with the 13 <br />Twin Cities Gateway Executive Director and the Fridley Finance Director to review the first six 14 <br />months of finances which would then be reviewed by the Board of Directors on Tuesday, June 16. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Council Member Smith reported she has been asked to teach traffic direction to Reserve State Fair 17 <br />Officers. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Council Member Smith explained the Festival in the Park Committee would be meeting next on 20 <br />Tuesday, June 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Works Facility. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Smith wished residents a Happy Father’s Day which would be observed on 23 <br />Sunday, June 21. She noted she would be attending the car show the week after Father’s Day at 24 <br />the State Fair Grounds helping with traffic direction. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Council Member Smith noted the first Village of Mounds View was elected in 1958 which 27 <br />consisted of Mayor James Gibson and four Councilmembers. She reported the City has had 17 28 <br />mayors, 43 Councilmembers and four clerks. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Clark reported she attended the Park, Rec and Forestry Commission meeting 31 <br />where the group toured Lakeside Lions Park and Silver View Park. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Clark commented the Explore More Camp began today and had 108% 34 <br />enrollment. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Clark thanked everyone who participated in the City-wide garage sale this past 37 <br />weekend. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Council Member Clark explained there would be mini golf for seniors on June 11 and June 25 at 40 <br />10:00 a.m. at Lili Putt. She noted there would be a 55+ drivers discount program on June 9 from 41 <br />1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. She indicated there would be a river boat cruise for seniors on June 26. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Council Member Clark encouraged residents to read through the most recent edition of the Mounds 44 <br />View Matters. 45 <br /> 46
