Council has been provided with the existing lease and the official <br />amendment to Article 6 of the lease. <br />Mr. Troy Urdahl, ISD #282 Athletic Director, invited questions of the City Council regarding the <br />proposed amendment to the lease agreement. <br />Mayor Faust requested information on the intent of the School District to increase usable gym <br />space through the new security system and use of the gym at the high school. Mr. Urdahl stated <br />with the school renovation projects there has been increased security which includes cameras and <br />a new key reader system. The key reader system includes the ability to set times to allow certain <br />members of the community into the building. <br />Mayor Faust inquired about the drainage at the soccer fields and plans for the running track. Mr. <br />Urdahl replied that there has been a dramatic improvement in the drainage at the soccer fields. <br />The running track is included in the summer renovation plans. <br />Mayor Faust verified with City Manager Mornson and the representatives of the ISD #282 that <br />only positive feedback has been received from the public on the plans that have been presented <br />for the use of the Community Center Gymnasium. He requested clarification on whether the <br />School District has met with the Vital Aging Council. Ms. Wendy Webster, ISD #282 <br />Community Services Director, replied that the Senior Advisory Council has met with the Vital <br />Aging Council. <br />Mayor Faust stated this topic has been in the public for six to eight weeks, and that this type of <br />exposure helps the public understand what is going on. His estimation is that this will be good <br />for the community. He stated his support of the statement made by representatives of the School <br />District that these will be community buildings. <br />Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to approve Resolution 10- <br />32; Approval of the Amendment to the Lease Agreement with St. Anthony — New Brighton <br />School District #282 for Community Center Gymnasium. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. Engineer's Update. Todd Hubmer, WSB & Associates, presenting. <br />Mr. Todd Hubmer, WSB & Associates, provided the Engineer's Update and answered questions <br />of the City Council.
