Consider Resolution 12-076; Amending Ordinance No. 2012-02. an Ordinance <br />Amending Chapter 152 of the Saint Anthony Village Ci ty Code Being the Zoning and <br />Land Use Chapter of the City Code. <br />Mayor Faust the City Council approved the specific use of an ass isted living facility on February <br />28 ,2012, and on July 9 , 2012, the developer requested an increase in the number of beds from 72 <br />beds to 73 beds; as a result, the City Attorney felt it was appropriate to amend the City Code <br />consistent with what was approved by the City Council in July. He noted this amendment does <br />not require a first or second reading and the amendment deals on ly with this particular property. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Counci lmember Gray, to approve Resolution <br />12-076; Amending Ordinance No. 2012-02, an Ordinance Amendin g Chapter 15 2 of the Saint <br />Anthony Village City Code, Being the Zoning and Land Use Chapter of the City Code. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING. <br />None . <br />REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF. <br />None. <br />GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />A. Aging in Place Program Presentation. Alissa Boroff. Augustana Therapy Services. and <br />Suzanne Snyder. Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation. presenting. <br />City Manager Casey advised the City has an opportunity to participate in a program that provides <br />home modification services to enable seniors to age in place. He then introduced Alissa Boroff, <br />Augustana Therapy Services, and Suzanne Snyder, Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation. <br />Ms. Boroff stated they are excited to bring this program to the community and explained that <br />Access Solutions was recently awarded a two year grant to provide home modification services <br />to older adults in St. Anthony and Roseville to facilitate and promote aging in place and will <br />work with people to evaluate and assess their abilities and their environment to help people stay <br />in their homes. She indicated the grant was awarded through the Minnesota Department of <br />Human Services and is based off a model used in the Longfellow neighborhood but adds <br />outreach and education through the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation, the City, and <br />people involved in providing services to the neighborhood. She explained the grant provides 25 <br />home assessments and includes providing recommendations to support living independently, a <br />written assessment , and offering next steps to help participants implement the recommendations <br />and the grant includes $500 for each participant to purchase such things as grab bars and
