Resolution 14-062; a Resolution Approving Redpath and Company as the City Auditor <br />for Auditing Years 2014 and 2015 and Authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to <br />Execute Such Contract. Mark Casey, City Manager. presenting. <br />6 City Manager Casey stated that for the last two years, the contracted price for audit services was <br />7 $47,225 annually and this price included preparation of an annual Audit Management Letter. He <br />8 stated staff is proposing to eliminate the Audit Management Letter because much of the <br />9 information is a restatement of the CAFR information and is incorporated in other documents. <br />10 He stated the proposed price for the 2014 and 2015 audit is $47,000 and $49,000, respectively, <br />11 and the 2015 price includes GASB No. 68 regarding pension liabilities. <br />12 <br />13 Councilmember Jenson asked if it was correct that the City has a long history working with <br />14 Redpath and has had no issues with the State as a result of the audit services performed by <br />15 Redpath. <br />16 <br />17 City Manager Casey replied this was correct and stated the City has been satisfied with the <br />18 services performed by Redpath and the number of reported deficiencies has significantly <br />19 decreased. <br />20 <br />21 Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to adopt Resolution 14- <br />22 062; a Resolution Approving Redpath and Company as the City Auditor for Auditing Years 2014 <br />23 and 2015 and Authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to Execute Such Contract. <br />24 <br />25 Motion carried 4-0. <br />26 <br />27 C. Ordinance 2014-04; an Ordinance Terminating a Moratorium on the Creation, <br />28 Establishment or Operation of Businesses that Sell Electronic Cigarettes and on the <br />29 Sampling of Electronic Cigarettes and Related Products in Businesses. Mark Casey, City <br />30 Manager, presenting. <br />31 <br />32 City Manager Casey stated that on November 12, 2013, the City Council adopted an Ordinance <br />33 to enact a moratorium on the creation, establishment, or operation of businesses that sell <br />34 electronic cigarettes and on the sampling of electronic cigarettes and related products. He stated <br />35 that staff worked on amendments to the Ordinance that treated these products similar to a regular <br />36 cigarette and prohibiting their use in indoor public places, and the City Council approved <br />37 relevant amendments to the City Code so the moratorium is no longer needed. <br />38 <br />39 Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to adopt Ordinance 2014- <br />40 04; an Ordinance Terminating a Moratorium on the Creation, Establishment or Operation of <br />41 Businesses that Sell Electronic Cigarettes and on the Sampling of Electronic Cigarettes and <br />42 Related Products in Businesses. <br />43 <br />44 Motion carried 4-0. <br />45 <br />46 VII.
