Page 4 <br />Mr. Dennis Engle of the Wilshire School PTSA discussed the accuracy <br />of the traffic count being taken on Foss Road. <br />Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to <br />recommend that Ramsey County make the study as provided for under <br />MS 169.14 to limit the speed near Wilshire School to 25 MPH. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The February 27th letter from the T.A.P. 29th Avenue Executive Committee <br />thanking the Council for its cooperation in the planning of the <br />reconstruction of 29th was noted with an expression of appreciation <br />from several Council members. <br />The following motion was made to offer suggestions for the program <br />of the St. Anthony League of Women Voters as requested in their letter <br />of February 6th. <br />Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to suggest <br />that the League of Women Voters include in their program for the next <br />year an investigation into state aids and other funding for <br />municipalities including a revision of the fiscal disparities law. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Council also felt that the updating of the League's "Know Your <br />City" booklet would be a project which deserved the cooperation of <br />the city. <br />The February 17th letter from the city administrator of Apple Valley <br />regarding local government aid distributions was noted and filed. <br />The minutes for the January 21, 1976 annual meeting of the Suburban <br />Rate Authority as well as the action which might be taken by the <br />organization regarding intervention in court action which might <br />result from rate increases by public utilities were included in the <br />discussion of the Authority by Councilman Stauffer and Sundland. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to <br />authorize the installation of 100 watt sodium vapor street lights at <br />the intersection of Silver Lane and Shamrock and on the east side <br />of Shamrock on the north end of Emera Park as requested by residents <br />of the area and recommended by the Manager. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Feeling the suggested coalition of suburban municipalities would be <br />an acceptable method of developing the necessary data to be submitted <br />to the legislature for consideration regarding disparities in the <br />distribution of shared tax aids, the following motion was made: <br />
