Pg. 3 <br />Voting on the motion: <br />Aye: Stauffer, Haik and Miedtke <br />Nay: Sauer <br />Motion carried. <br />Mr. Fornell's status report on Section 8 Rent Assistance Program was reviewed <br />and filed. <br />The report on legal fees paid for the last six years was discussed and the <br />Manager said a similar report on fees paid the City Engineer was forthcoming. <br />The short phone survey made by Mr. Fornell regarding licensing of law -omats <br />and dry cleaning establishments was discussed. <br />The Council decided that since most licenses for the year have already been renewed <br />Mr. Dulgar and lir. Fornell should continue their research and provide enough <br />information on which a review of the entire licensing procedure could be made <br />by the Council for next year. <br />Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to table action on <br />licensing for further staff research with a request that the Manager give his <br />recommendations by September 1, 1976. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Dennis Engle of the Wilshire Park PTA reported that Mr. ldayne Leonard of the <br />Ramsey County Highway Department would discuss his recommendations for providing <br />greater pedestrian safety on 37th Avenue near INN shire School at the meeting of <br />the PTA Board in the school at 8:00 P.M. April 20, 1976. <br />Mr. Dulgar told the Council that the new labor contracts he was recommending be <br />signed for the municipal liquor stores would result in raises of between 77 and <br />80, but no other changes. <br />Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve the labor <br />contracts with Local 17 of the Bartenders Union and Local 792 representing the <br />municipal off sale employees, as negotiated by the Manager. <br />Motion carried unanir^ously. <br />Cor+ici;aan Stauffer reminded the Council of the dinner meeting of the Suburban <br />Rate Authority scheduled for April 21st and the f.anager said Councilman Sundland <br />had indicated he intended to attend. <br />Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve all licenses <br />listed in the April 13, 1976 agenda. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Manager said he was already in contact with Ramsey County regarding the <br />shortness of the "Walk" signals at the corner of Silver Lake Road and Silver Lane <br />and 39th about which Councilman Haik had received several complaints from residents <br />of Emerald Lane.
