Colonel DiNatale and Sgt. First Class Goettl for their service and for working together <br />with the City and the School District. He also thanked Ms. Webster and the School District for <br />their willingness to participate in the training exercise. <br />Update from Fire Chief <br />Fire Chief Sitarz advised that the Police Department was called to an incident last Thursday and <br />due to the complexity of the situation and length oftime required to resolve the matter, the <br />officers needed a place to warm up and have use of restroom facilities . He stated that at 2:00 <br />a.m., the owner of Fitness Crossroad was contacted and without hesitation, Mr. Barry Tedium <br />made the space available for emergency responders. He expressed thanks on behalf of himself <br />and Police Chief Ohl to Mr. Tedlund for his willingness to help out and for opening his doors <br />during a difficult situation. <br />Mayor Faust expressed the City Council's thanks and appreciation to Fitness Crossroad. <br />Fire Chief Sitarz advised that the Fire Department Open House was held last Saturday and the <br />attendance was their largest ever reported of 550 people. He thanked Firefighter Mattie Jaros for <br />organizing the open house. <br />CONSENT AGENDA. <br />A . Consider September 23, 2014, City Council meeting minutes: <br />B. Consider licenses and permits; <br />C. Consider payment of claims; <br />D. Consider Resolution 14-063: a Resolution Certifying Special Assessments for Delinquent <br />Public Utility Service Accounts to the 2015 Hennepin County Tax Rolls; and <br />E. Consider Resolution 14-064; a Resolution Certifying Special Assessments for Delinquent <br />Public Utility Service Accounts to the 2015 Ramsey County Tax Rolls. <br />Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the Consent <br />Agenda items. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />PUBLIC HEARING -NONE. <br />REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF -NONE. <br />GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />A . Presentation from the University of Minnesota Sustainability Students. <br />Ms. Jessica Orr stated the Sustainability Studies Minor class has been working with the cities of <br />St. Anthony, Falcon Heights, and Lauderdale on the Capstone project.
