ROBERT F. OSTERBAUER, D. D. S. , P. A.
2525 - _'rd. Avenue, N. E.
• Minneapolis , MN 50418
Sep. 17, 1988
Pear Neighbors,
You have probably recieved a letter recently from the
City of St. Anthony reguarding a proposed zoning change.
Thirty years ago, we built our office on the corner
of 33rd. Ave. and Edwards. We 'have been giving dedicated ,
quality service ever since,
Four years ago When the tornado damaged or destroyed
many buildings in this area , we learned that if our office
had been damaged to an extent of seventy-five percent of
its value, we would ba.ve been shut down with an
interruption in our services until we could get a planning
board approval to rebuild or , at worst , to close
completely and rebuild at a new location.
To prevent this delay in service should this ever
happen , we feel it would be more expeditious, at this time
before a catastrophy happens, to have the zoning changed
for our building from Non-conforming Residential to
Limited Commercial .
This change would not alter anything in or around the
• building; it would operate just as it has in the past. The
only difference would be in legal registration , which
would allow us to rebuild if there should be a storm or
fire catastrophy.
We try very hard to keep our build ing and grounds
looking up to date and well maintained and feel that a
zoning change would be benificial to the neighborhood by
insuring the continuity of dental care.
We would appreciate very much if you would consider
this matter and give it your approval at the meeting of
the Planning Commission on Tuesday, September 20 at
7: 35 P. M.
Sincerely.
• - Robert F. Osterbauer
