<br /> 1 14. Multiple family dwelline - a dwelling or portion thereof containing three or
<br /> 2 more dwelling units.

<br /> 4 15. Occupant - any person (including owner or operator) living, sleeping, cooking
<br /> 5 and eating in a dwelling unit or living and sleeping in a rooming unit.

<br /> 7 16. Operator - the owner or agent who has charge, care, control, or management
<br /> 8 of a building, or part thereof, in which dwelling units or rooming units are let.

<br /> 10 17. Owner - any person, firm or corporation who, alone,jointly, or severally with
<br /> 11 others, shall be in actual possession of, or have charge, care or control of, any
<br /> 12 dwelling, dwelling unit, or rooming unit within the City as owner, employee or
<br /> 13 agent of the owner, or as trustee or guardian or the estate or person of the
<br /> 14 title holder. Any such person representing the actual owner shall be bound
<br /> 15 to comply with the provisions. of this ordinance to the same extent as the
<br /> 16 owner.

<br /> 18 18. - Permissible occupancy - the maximum number of persons permitted to reside
<br /> 19 in a dwelling unit or rooming unit. •

<br /> 21 19. Person - an individual, firm, partnership, association, corporation or joint
<br /> 22 venture or organization of any kind.

<br /> 24 20. Plumbing- all of the following supplied facilities and equipment in a dwelling:
<br /> 25 gas pipes, gas burning equipment, water pipes, steam pipes, garbage disposal
<br /> 26 units, waste pipes, water closets, sinks, installed dishwashers, lavatories,
<br /> 27 bathtubs, shower baths, installed clothes washing machines, catch basins,
<br /> 28 drains, vents, and any other similar fixtures and the installation thereof,
<br /> 29 together with all connections to water, sewer and gas lines.

<br /> 31 21. Premises - a platted lot or part thereof or unplatted parcel of land, either
<br /> 32 occupied or unoccupied by any dwelling or nondwelling structure, including
<br /> 33 such building, accessory structure or other structure thereon.

<br /> 35 22. Public hall - a hall, corridor or passageway for providing egress from a
<br /> 36 dwelling unit to a public way and not within the exclusive control of one
<br /> 37 family.

<br /> 39 23. Recyclables - Materials which may be recycled or reused through recycling
<br /> 40 processes, including metal beverage containers,glass, newsprint, plastic bottles
<br /> 41 with necks, corrugated cardboard, magazines, catalogs, phone books and any •
<br /> 42 other materials designated as recyclables by Council resolution.
