(3) Upon submittal of a comprehensive sign plan and subject to the <br /> approval of the City Council, a shopping center over 75,000 feet may <br /> have major anchor/tenant monument sign(s) depending upon the <br /> number of major anchors. The total sign area shall not exceed 300 <br /> square feet. <br /> (4) Upon submittal of a comprehensive sign plan and subject to the <br /> approval of the City Council, a shopping center over 75,000 square feet <br /> may be allowed additional wall signs for commercial establishments <br /> that need additional exposure from different vantage points. The <br /> number of additional wall signs will not exceed one half the total . <br /> number of commercial establishments and will be allowed a surface <br /> sign area of one-half of that which it is allowed. <br /> (5) A commercial establishment located within a shopping center, having <br /> no outside frontage, will be allowed a surface sign area of one-half of <br /> that which it would be allowed if it had outside frontage. <br /> (6) Commercial establishment will be allowed, in addition to all other <br /> authorized signs, one historical identification symbol, not exceeding (5) <br /> five square feet in sign surface area. <br /> (7) Subject to approval of the Council, and as a conditional use, a movie <br /> itheatre may have a marquee. The total sign area for a marquee sign <br /> shall not exceed 200 square feet. <br /> (8) Upon submittal of a comprehensive sign plan and subject to approval <br /> of the City Council, a strip mall under 75,000 square feet and a <br /> shopping center over 75,000 square fee may be allowed a monument <br /> sign with a surface sign area not to exceed 150 square feet. <br /> (9) Upon submittal of a comprehensive sign plan and subject to approval <br /> of the City Council, a major anchor/tenant over 50,000 square feet in <br /> a shopping center over 100,000 square feet may have a wall sign that <br /> is up to four times the sign surface area of which is allowed for other <br /> commercial establishments. <br /> (10) Subject to approval of the Council, a searchlight is permitted for a <br /> special event not to exceed three consecutive nights. <br /> Subd. 3. LIGHT INDUSTRIAL: The following signs are permitted in a Light <br /> Industrial District and may be erected after obtaining a permit and paying-required <br /> license fee. <br /> • (1) One business or identification canopy or wall sign per right-of-way <br /> frontage pertinent as regulated in Subsection 1400.12, Subd. 2(1), or <br />
