• We have continued to work with the National Child Safety Council in the distribution of child <br /> safety materials to all schools. <br /> ' • We can boast an incredible 58% clearance rate for overall criminal offenses. This is 6% <br /> higher than 1999. <br /> • We had an 8% decrease in criminal offenses from 1999. <br /> • We continued to provide contract police protection to Falcon Heights and Lauderdale at great <br /> benefit to our citizens. <br /> 1 • Report incidents went up 13%, yet our patrol division continues to be very active writing 1976 <br /> moving violations, and arresting 811 individuals (to include misdemeanor traffic, warrants, <br /> and criminal violations). Our high visibility patrol is certainly a plus toward our overall crime <br /> prevention strategies. <br /> • The Department continues to operate the DARE program in both the elementary and middle <br /> ' schools. <br /> • We wrote and received a grant for $7000 worth of night vision equipment. The grant included <br /> ' travel, food, and hotel expenses for training in Arizona. <br /> • We worked with the Ramsey County Sexual Assault Protocol Team to establish a uniform <br /> sexual assault protocol for Ramsey County law enforcement agencies. <br /> • Completed field training for 1 officer bringing us up to full strength. <br /> 0 Completed training of 2 new CSO's. <br /> ' • Provided a part-time School Liaison Officer through a State Block Grant. <br /> ' • Continued to work with 2 Federal grants. <br /> • Completed intruder drills with all schools. <br /> 1 <br /> 14 <br />
