City of Saint Anthony Housing Maintenance Ordinance <br /> Draft Number 1 -- November 10, 1991 <br /> Page Number 17 <br /> 1 INSPECTION AND LICENSING OF <br /> 2 APARTMENT HOUSE AND RENTAL HOMES <br /> 3 <br /> 4 PURPOSE. It is the purpose of this ordinance to protect the health, safety and welfare of <br /> 51 citizens of the City who have as their place of abode a living unit in a multiple dwelling. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 INTENTION. It is the intention of this ordinance that a mode of protecting and <br /> 8 regulating the living conditions of citizens residing in multiple dwellings in the City be <br /> 9 established, and that uniform standards be established for all multiple dwellings in the City. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 LICENSE REQUIRED. No person, partnership, corporation or other group or entity <br /> 12 shall own or operate a multiple dwelling in the City without the owner of the multiple <br /> 13 dwelling first having obtained a license in accordance with this ordinance. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 APPLICATION FOR LICENSES. Applications for licenses shall be made in writing <br /> 16 to the Clerk by the owner of the multiple dwelling on forms provided by the City. The <br /> 17 purchaser of a multiple dwelling may apply as the 'owner'; provided, however, that any <br /> 18 license issued pursuant to an application by a purchaser shall be contingent upon closing the <br /> 19 purchase and upon the applicant becoming the owner. Applications shall include, but not <br /> 20 be limited to, the following information with respect to the multiple dwelling: <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Name and address of owner. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Name and address of a person residing or having a business office in Hennepin or <br /> 25 Ramsey County, Minnesota and appointed by the,owner as an agent for purposes of <br /> 26 notices under this ordinance and for service of process upon the owner. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Name and address of any managing operator or agent. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Name and address of all partners if the applicant is a partnership. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Name and address of all officers and members of the board of directors if -the <br /> 33 applicant is a corporation. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Name and address of the contract for deed vendor if the multiple dwelling is owned <br /> 36 under a contract for deed. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Legal address of the multiple dwelling. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Number and kind of units. <br /> 41 <br />
