City of Saint Anthony Housing Maintenance Ordinance <br /> Draft Number 1 -- November 10, 1991 <br /> Page Number 18 <br /> i <br /> 1 Height of the multiple dwelling in stories. <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Exterior finish of building. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 APPLICATION, EXECUTION. The application shall be subscribed and sworn to by the <br /> 6 owner, and shall be signed by (i) the owner if a natural person; (ii) an officer if a <br /> 7 corporation or (iii) a partner if a partnership. The owner's signature on the application shall <br /> 8 constitute (i) a consent by the owner to be bound by notices sent to the person referred to <br /> 9 in subdivision xxxx of section xxxx of this ordinance, and (ii) appointment of said person as <br /> 10 the owner's agent for the purpose of service of process. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 ISSUANCE AND TERM. Upon approval by the City Council, the City Clerk shall issue a <br /> 13 license to the owner of the multiple dwelling. A license shall be personal to the owner of <br /> 14 a specified multiple dwelling. No license may be transferred to a purchaser of a multiple <br /> 15 dwelling or to any other person or entity. If a multiple dwelling is sold, the purchaser shall <br /> 16 not own or operate the multiple dwelling without first obtaining the license provided for in <br /> 17 this ordinance. A license shall be valid for one year from the date issued, and shall <br /> 18 terminate on a date one year after the date of issuance unless renewed in accordance with <br /> 19 the ordinance. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 RENEWAL Applications for renewal of a license for a multiple dwelling shall be made in <br /> 22 writing to the City Clerk on forms provided by the City. Applications for renewal shall <br /> 23 contain the same information as applications for licenses, but may be signed by an agent or <br /> 24 manager on behalf of the owner if there has been no change in the information contained <br /> 25 in the most recent application on file. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 LICENSE FEES. License fees for initial applications and renewals shall be in the amounts <br /> 28 set from time to time by resolution of the City Council. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 POSTING. Every licensee of a multiple dwelling shall post the current annual license <br /> 31 issued by the City Clerk in a frame with a glass covering in a conspicuous location in a <br /> 32 public corridor, hallway, or lobby of the multiple dwelling for which it is issued. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 TENANT REGISTER. The licensee shall, as a continuing obligation of its license, <br /> 35 maintain a current register of tenants and other persons who have a lawful right to <br /> 36 occupancy of apartments within the apartment house. In its application, the licensee shall <br /> 37 designate the person or persons who will have possession of the register; and shall promptly <br /> 38 notify the City Manager of any change of the identity, address or telephone numbers of such <br /> 39 persons. The register shall be available for inspection by the City Manager, or his/her <br /> 40 designate, at all times. <br /> 41 <br />
