- 10 - Sump/Covers: Sump pits must have solid 1-piece covers (e.g. Fiberglas, 1/2 inch COX plywood, steel) which are secured to the top and can hold the weight of an adult. The sump effluent from a drain tile system cannot empty into the city sanitary sewer system but must be., diverted into the yard away from the house. KITCHEN 33.' Walls and Ceiling: Must..be in good condition. Floor Covering: If kitchen floor cannot be maintained in a sanitary condition because it is deteriorated or has cracked or missing sections, it must be replaced with new resilient flooring over a suitable underlay. The stove gas shut-off valve does not have to be located in the kitchen, (on gas pipe below floor in basement is acceptable) . 38. Windows: Must. be in good repair. 40. Electrical Outlets: At:'least ,two separate floor or wall duplex electric outlets are required in' habi-table rooms with 120 square feet of floor space or less. An additional duplex electric receptacle is required for each additional 80 square feet of floor space. If possible, outlets should be spaced an equal distance apart°from one another.
