IV. MECHANICAL DESCRIPTION <br /> ■ General Mall Area <br /> 1. Fire sprinkler—a wet pipe system served by a water service lead-in in the <br /> basement of the east retail area. No hazardous material, no salvage value. <br /> ® 2. Plumbing— toilet rooms in the basement area of the former bowling alley. <br /> Toilet rooms in the basement of the east retail area. Gas-fired water heaters <br /> in basement mechanical room of the east retail area, no hazardous material, <br /> no salvage value. <br /> 3. Ventilating and air conditioning— the bowling alley space was served from a <br /> DX multi-zone carrier unit in the basement mechanical room of the east <br /> mechanical area. The retail areas on the first floor above were also served <br /> from a DX multi-zone carrier unit in another basement mechanical room <br /> ■ east of the boiler room. Some refrigerant R-12 may be still in the <br /> compressor and coil units. This is a recoverable material that must be <br /> ■ recycled. None of the fan units, cooling towers and water-cooled refrigerant <br /> compressors have any salvage value. A small amount of refrigerant copper <br /> pipe has salvage value. DX rooftop units now serve the central mall area <br /> and the upper level retain shops. These units have no salvage value. The <br /> refrigerant must be recycled. <br /> Herberger's <br /> 4. Fire sprinkler—a wet pipe system served by a water service lead-in in the <br /> basement. No hazardous material, so salvage value. <br /> 5. Plumbing— toilet rooms on the basement and first floor. Electric water <br /> heaters. No hazardous material, no salvage value. <br /> 6. Heating—circulated hot water from boilers in the basement. Herberger's <br /> boiler in one room and mall retail boiler in another room. No hazardous <br /> material, no salvage value. <br /> 7. Ventilating and air conditioning—rooftop units and a package unit in the <br /> basement. All units are DX with R-12 refrigerant. These units have no <br /> salvage value. The refrigerant must be removed from the units and recycled. <br /> Sand Floor Basement Area <br /> 8. No mechanical equipment in this area. <br /> Basement Office Area Adjacent to Sand Floor Area <br /> . 9. Fire sprinklers —wet pipe system served by a water service lead-in in the <br /> basement. No hazardous material, no salvage value. <br /> 10. Plumbing— toilet rooms no hazardous material, no salvage material. <br /> 11. Ventilating and air conditioning—DX unit in the basement.
