Will also review the <br /> number of units to ensure there would be no major impacts. <br /> • Staff met with Patrick O'Connor to discuss the potential <br /> opening of a restaurant in the Amcon Development. The <br /> proposed name for the restaurant would be <br /> O&E'rmConnor5ETMs Irish Pub and Sports Bar. They are <br /> currently meeting with charitable gambling groups and the <br /> Sports Boosters noting that the proposal would require two <br /> hearings. He stated that the City has a development <br /> agreement with Amcon regarding placement of a restaurant <br /> and reviewed with the Commission. He stated that Staff plans <br /> to have the Commission investigate their concerns and will <br /> review shortly. <br /> • A§ He, along with the Assistant City Manager and City <br /> attorney met with Sunset Park Representatives to discuss the <br /> denial of their request by the City Council. He stated that they <br /> were looking for further clarification of the reasons why their <br /> request was denied. He stated that Staff provided the <br /> following suggestions: 1-slow down the process; 2-put <br /> together a more comprehensive package and have all <br /> information pulled together; 3-Hold neighborhood meetings <br /> for feedback and input from the residents. He stated that they <br /> plan to hold a neighborhood meeting in January and are also <br /> open for any input by the Planning Commission to help move <br /> forward in the process. He stated that there was considerable <br /> misinformation and inconsistent statements that should be <br /> corrected. <br /> Commissioner Tillman referenced an article in last Sunday's Star <br /> Tribune regarding the night sky, environmentally friendly lighting and <br /> preserving the stars. She stated that the article made her think <br /> about the light selection the City made for 29th noting that the article <br /> included pictures of various lighting options, similar to what the <br /> Planning Commission has recommended. She asked if the lighting <br /> for the Silver Lake area would be consistent with St. Anthony as a <br /> whole. Mr. Thorvig stated that they would apply the same standards <br /> currently in use throughout the City. City Manager Mornson <br /> confirmed. Everything that has been selected complies with the <br /> design guidelines. He indicated that the Apache Medical Center <br /> would probably incorporate the same designs. <br /> XII.
