Creight HE: North -Suburban Cable Camwnications (.artnission Budget for Remainder of 1983 and 1984. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Joint. and Cooperative Agreement of the North Suburban Cable Cannuni"cations Carmission II requires the suhmission of a budget to the member cities of the C,armission. Please find enclosed a proposed hudget for the C,aimission for 1984 and a request for contributions for the .remainder of 1983. You need not include the funds in your 1984 city-budget since Group W will be reimbursing you for monies spent on the Carmission. The Joint Powers Agreement requires the Carmission hudget be sutinitted to the member cities for their questions or input. You need not fo mrally approve the budget. If you chose not to contri- bute your city's proportionate share to the rx mission, the procedure of the Joint Powers Agreement requires you to withdraw from the Commission by October 15, 1983, in which case you would became respon- sible for administering the cable franchise- by yourself. As you know,.. when the new Carmission was formed . in the Fall of 1982, no request was made of the rmanber cities for additional funds, and the CAMission .has functioned without any additional funds' fran the member ,cities for the first three quarters of 1983. However, construction i-s in full swing in the North Suburban, area- and• the-Carmission has had to meet once and sometimes twice a rnonth• to monitor construction and deal with issues in the construction of the North Suburban system. , Therefore,, funds are needed for the remainder of 1983.
