No person may have a weapon in his or her <br /> possession, custody, or control in a public place, in the residence of another without <br /> their permission, or in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, unless in <br /> compliance with Section 1110.03. <br /> 1110.03 Transportation of Weapon. A weapon may be transported in a motor <br /> vehicle only if it is: <br /> (a) a firearm which is unloaded and in a gun case expressly made to contain a <br /> firearm, and the case fully encloses the firearm by being zipped, snapped, <br /> buckled, tied, or otherwise fastened, and without any portion of the firearm <br /> exposed, or an unloaded firearm in the-closed trunk of the motor vehicle, <br /> (b) a weapon other than a firearm which is in the closed trunk of a motor <br /> vehicle, or <br /> (c) a handgun carried in compliance with Minn.
