Section 1400.04, Subd. 6 (Changeable Copy Sign); Redefine as"Any sign which is
.characterized by manually changeable copy, ...°. This will distinguish this category from
signs that are changed electronically.
2. Section 1400.07, Subd. 15(Prohibited Signs); Add definition such as"Except ground signs
that have electronic changeable copy, any portion of which changes less than once per
minute". I'm not sure what the right frequency of change is here; could also be different than
that-your thoughts?
3. Section 1400.10, Subd 3. (Surface Area); Add "(4); Electronic animated signage may not
exceed 16 square feet of any sign copy surface". I believe this is the size of the sign we
looked at last week.
4. Section 1400.10, Subd. 5. (Design and Location); Modify to"Signs must be located at least
15 feet.from any street". This would allow the City to put up its sign at the easement limits on
Silver Lake Road.
That's all I can see; please comment. Thanks.
Doug
•
•
