i530 . 08 Renewal . Applications for renewal of a license for a <br /> multiple dwelling must be made in writing to the Clerk on forms <br /> provided by the City. Applications for renewal are to contain <br /> the same information as applications for licenses , but may be <br /> signed by an agent or manager on behalf of the owner if there <br /> has been no change in the information contained in the most <br /> recent application on file . <br /> 530 . 09 License Fees . License fees for initial applications <br /> and renewals will be in the amounts set forth in Chapter 6 . <br /> 530 . 10 License Posting. Every licensee of a multiple dwelling <br /> must post the current annual license issued by the Clerk in a <br /> frame with a glass covering in a conspicuous location in a <br /> public corridor, hallway, or lobby of the multiple dwelling for <br /> which it is issued . <br /> 530 . 11 Maintenance Standards . The owner of a multiple <br /> dwelling and any manager, operator or owner ' s agent must <br /> maintain the multiple dwelling according to the standards set <br /> forth in this Section in addition to any other requirements of <br /> the laws of the State of Minnesota, the ordinances of the City, <br /> or any special permits issued by the City. <br /> 530 . 12 Plumbing Facilities . Each unit must have at least one <br /> toilet , one bathtub or shower stall, and one kitchen sink or <br /> wash basin. All plumbing facilities within a unit must be kept <br /> in good working condition and properly connected to a water <br /> supply and sewage system. All plumbing facilities serving more <br /> than one unit must be maintained in the same manner . <br /> 530 . 13 Garbage Disposal . Every multiple dwelling must have <br /> and maintain in sanitary condition adequate facilities to <br /> accommodate the rubbish and garbage disposal needs of the <br /> units . Such facilities must be made of metal or other suitable <br /> material which is rodent proof, fire resistant and waterproof . <br /> The owner and the operator or owner ' s agent in control of the <br /> multiple dwelling is responsible for removal of garbage and <br /> rubbish no less frequently than once each week. <br /> 530 . 14 Light , Ventilation and Heating . Every multiple <br /> dwelling must provide adequate ventilation in accordance with <br /> applicable building codes . Each room in a unit used for <br /> sleeping, eating or cooking must have at least one electrical <br /> outlet . Every unit must have heating facilities capable of <br /> providing temperature control of not less than 68 degrees F. at <br /> a distance 18 inches above the floor level under ordinary <br /> winter conditions in each room used for sleeping, eating or <br /> cooking . The owner and any agent operating a multiple dwelling <br /> is responsible for ensuring that the required light , <br /> 5-3 <br />
